The goal of the framework
The framework is designed especially for HEIs who are embarking on a journey towards UN SDGs or those transitioning towards a more impactful and inclusive way of operating, managing resources, educating, collaborating and engaging with various stakeholders. HEARTS can facilitate the process of engagement for the purpose of becoming an active agent of change in education, inclusion and sustainability. The framework has been inspired and informed by six UN SDGs. People, Peace and Partnerships are 3 out “5 Ps” lying in the heart of the 2030 UN Sustainable Agenda.
SDG 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
SDG 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries.
SDG 11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

sustainable development and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
